ree

Visiting Hollywood Studios is like stepping into a world where our favorite movies come to life. My family and I recently took a trip to this magical place, and I’m excited to share our adventure! Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a Disney veteran, I’ve gathered some great tips on food, attractions, and showtimes to help you plan the perfect day at this iconic park.

The Morning Begins: Arriving at Hollywood Studios

We woke up bright and early to maximize our day. Arriving at Hollywood Studios right when the park opened is crucial, especially with kids eager to explore. The excitement in the air is contagious, and it's the best time to capture some family pictures before the crowds arrive.

After parking and going through security, we made a beeline for Toy Story Land. This area is a must-see for families, with vibrant colors and fun attractions that appeal to all ages.

Riding the Rides: Attraction Rundown

First on our list was Slinky Dog Dash, a roller coaster that quickly became a family favorite. The ride offers a thrilling experience, as it twists and turns through the sights and sounds of a child's playroom. We could feel the joy of the moment as we zipped along. Next was Alien Swirling Saucers, which the kids loved. It’s a delightful ride filled with spinning and laughter.

Pro tip: Use the Disney Genie+ service to cut down on wait times for rides. For instance, we managed to experience four attractions, including the thrilling Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, before lunch by planning strategically.

Lunchtime Delights: Dining Options

After burning off some energy, we sought out lunch. Hollywood Studios has plenty of dining options, from quick service to table service. We chose Woody’s Lunch Box, which comes highly recommended!

The Smashed Potatoes with Brisket was a standout dish, bursting with flavor, and the Nutella and Fruit Grown-Up French Toast was a hit with the kids. Now, here’s a fun fact: Woody’s Lunch Box consistently ranks among the top eateries in the park, serving an estimated 1,200 guests per day! Having lunch at the picnic tables outside was a nice touch, allowing us to soak up the sun.

Afternoon Adventures: More Attractions and Shows

Next, we headed to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, a must-visit for fans and first-timers alike. My son, a huge Star Wars fan, was awestruck as he entered this immersive area. We hopped on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, where we each took on roles in the cockpit, working together to navigate the thrilling challenges. Did you know that this ride accommodates up to six people per ship, making it a fantastic way to bond?

After our intergalactic adventure, we caught the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular. This show showcased jaw-dropping stunts, offering a peek behind the scenes of movie-making that left us all on the edge of our seats.

Snack Time: Fueling Up for Evening Fun

No visit to Hollywood Studios would be complete without sampling some snacks. We headed over to the Milk Bar, which features an irresistible lineup of desserts. We treated ourselves to a Cookies & Cream Milkshake and sampled popcorn from various stands. To add context, guests consume an average of 2.5 million popcorn boxes each year at the park!

Make sure to take in the atmosphere while enjoying the treats; the afternoon vibe around the park is lively and perfect for recharging before evening festivities.

Evening Entertainment: Nighttime Shows

As the sun set, we knew we needed to secure our spot for Fantasmic! This incredible nighttime show combines fireworks, water projections, and beloved Disney characters. Finding a seat early is essential, so we settled down while munching on our earlier snacks.

The grand display was mesmerizing. Seeing the joy on my children's faces as their favorite characters danced on stage was a moment I’ll never forget.
