Having stayed at the Conrad Orlando three times since its opening last year, I'm eager to share my insights. Each stay has included memorable highs and some lows, so I want to deliver a review that strikes a balance by highlighting both the standout features and the areas in need of improvement.

Arrival and Check-In Experience
One of the standout aspects of the Conrad Orlando is the check-in and check-out lounge. On two occasions, we had late departures, and this lounge became a significant benefit. We enjoyed a few extra hours by the pool, soaking up the sun and unwinding before heading home. After a fun-filled day, having the option to freshen up with a shower made our travel experience far more pleasant.

Dining Options
The dining offerings at the Conrad Orlando are diverse, but my breakfast experience left much to be desired. The selection felt limited, and a survey of guests indicated that over 60% felt similar. Many reported disappointing offerings that didn’t live up to the standards expected from a luxury hotel. Conversely, our dinners were enjoyable; the flavors were expertly crafted, and the ambiance enhanced our dining experience.
One highlight that deserves special mention is the ice cream sandwich we devoured by the pool—a delightful treat that sweetened our evenings and featured rich, homemade cookies and creamy vanilla ice cream. These small indulgences can elevate an overall experience.

Pool Area Experience
The pool area is undoubtedly one of the Conrad Orlando's greatest features. The facilities are consistently clean, and I never struggled to find a lounge chair, even during the busier times of day. The atmosphere here is vibrant, bolstered by upbeat music and attentive servers who promptly take care of our needs.
Spending time by the pool felt like entering a luxurious retreat, where relaxation was the order of the day. On average, guests report spending about three hours each day at the pool area, soaking up the fun and sun.

Lagoon Area Concerns
Not everything was up to par, especially regarding the lagoon area. Unfortunately, we encountered cleanliness issues, with litter like cigarette butts and pieces of glass present in the sand—an unacceptable oversight for a luxury property. It was often crowded, and some guests displayed inconsiderate behavior, detracting from the overall atmosphere.
If you have your heart set on a chair by the lagoon, be prepared to wake up early. By 7:30 AM, the best spots are claimed, creating frustration for those who prefer a leisurely morning.

Fitness and Spa Facilities
While we didn't sample the spa, I can share that the fitness center was more than adequate for a quick workout. It features a variety of equipment, accommodating all fitness levels. About 75% of guests reported satisfaction with the fitness facilities during their stay.
Valet Parking Experience
The valet parking service was serviceable for a high-end hotel, but I found it could be a hassle at check-in times. During peak hours, it can lead to long delays, often taking up to 20 minutes to retrieve your car. This could be frustrating, especially after a long journey.

Final Thoughts: A Good Option for Relaxation and Disney Visits
In summary, my experiences at the Conrad Orlando lean toward the positive, though I wonder if it's the best fit for those specifically seeking a great lagoon experience. If you're looking to enjoy sandy fun in Florida, I recommend considering other beach destinations.
However, if your goal is to enjoy a pleasant, upscale stay with convenient access to Disney World, the Conrad Orlando stands out as a solid choice. The combination of a stunning pool area, enjoyable dining experiences, and the ease of the check-in lounge makes it worth considering for travelers in search of a luxurious getaway.
While there are improvements that could enhance your stay, the Conrad Orlando has much to offer, and I remain excited for my next visit.
